"Barefoot and pregnant"

Went to an inconspicuous mall in a conspicuous city. And within it, to a little bookshop. They had a section "For Women" which included titles like "How to cook Chinese", "How to cook Indian", "How to cook Thai", and "Pregnancy 101", "Pregnancy for Dummies" (the series), "Nutrition for Pregnant Women". I counted, of the 38 books, there was not a single book in the section that didn't relate to either pregnancy/motherhood or cooking. There was no section "For Men". Alas. I would have been curious to know what they think the average man would enjoy reading. This is when my history teacher in high school would say that I am taking "pot shots". So be it.
